It was impossible to get through to the branch by phone - it just rang and rang and no-one answered, this was on several occasions over 2 days. I was forced to book online and needed two attempts to do that. Also your phone reminders are a waste of time as the recorded message starts as soon as you lift the receiver but before you have time to put it to your ear so you miss 90% of the message.

Everything was good
I felt the whole thing was a shambles from entering the opticians to leaving. When I arrived I apologised as I was a few minutes late. The lady replied we might well have to re-schedule your appointment as you are late. Though the optician was still in with someone. I ended up waiting at least 20 minutes before I got seen by the optician. This would of given me time to have the field tests and the pressure tests done first. When I finally got in to see the optician, from my experience I felt she must of been fairly newly qualified.
I had to ask her to clean some of the equipment before she started the tests, and when she brought over the glasses with the changing lenses, I felt uncomfortable in the position that I sitting. I felt there was no opportunity to re-position myself. I stated that I wanted to sit back and sit upright, as I thought this may have an overall impact on the results. When she started the tests with the glasses that had the prescription lenses in their was a long metal rod attached to them that was positioned behind me that reflected in the glass. I had to ask her to move this!!! She seemed very unprofessional in her role, and I will certainly not be going back Boots to have an eye test again.
I'm not sure whether I trust her findings and wish Boots to re-test my eyes with another optician.
