The appointment was for my 10 year old son. I had to accompany him through the pre check and there was no where for me or my younger son to sit. No apology or attempt made to access a chair. I was simply expected to stand in a very small working space. We waited 10 minutes for the pre check (that's ok) and after waiting 10 minutes after the pre check, the assistant told us that there was a 25 minute wait. Again, no apology or explanation. I said that if that was the case we would leave, do other errands and come back. The assistant was reluctant to let this happen! However, with 2 young children, a wait of 25 minutes was not going to be easy (plus is clearly unacceptable, especially as our appointment was at 10.25am). So, we left and returned at the agreed time. The optician offered us a very insincere apology and when I said it was a long wait she tried to say that she had come to find us but we had gone! Yes, we had left, after being told we would have to wait 25 minutes! Very poor customer service.
