I am happy to share my experience at the opticians on Haverhill High Street. My optometrist Dimple Patel and Store practice Manager was average in exlaining my prescription to me. This was the first time that I required glasses and I am disappointed to say that Dimple didn't make the experience pleasant for me. She bluntly told me that I required glasses for driving which but she barked at me for not completing me visual screening correctly. I think this is the test where I have to press a button when I see white dots of light around the yellow light. I was politely told to repeat the test by Jess then the 3rd time round Dimple scolded me like a child telling me my Left eye results do not correlate to the right one. Totally unprofessional but luckily 3rd time round she was satisfied by the results. But how do I know this didn't highlight I had an underlying problem? Jess saved the day by calmly supporting me while I was choosing my glass frames. I could have taken my pescription and given the business to someone else. Infact, I feel like I should have and not given £220 to Boots. If Dimple has received some bad news that I didn't see her in her best light then she can be forgiven that's why I didn't react. I feel comfortable with you disclosing my name and complaint to her. Just unsure if I was tested correctly when i compared how she briefly got me to view letters and dots on a screen for my left and right eye. But was not made to view my prescription lens together as my husband explained this is what he went through when renewing his prescription lens, later that evening. How do I know this is done correctly? I just feel a bit cheated and expect better customer service from Boots. Next time will I take my prescription and go elsewhere?
