I went to Boots opticians in Folkestone, to get my eyes tested under the eyecare plan our company has, which Boots provide. I use my glasses at work for computer use, and can't do without them as my eyes have astigmatism. I recently started noticing that my vision was getting blurry even with my glasses on, so I wanted to get my eyesight tested using the eyecare plan offered, which includes free glasses with new prescription. I had my eye test done and was given a new prescription by optometrist. I was then asked to discuss it with sales colleague at reception. Sales person although realising that my prescription has to do with astigmatism, and need glasses to carry out my work, told me that there is change in prescription but as they will help me see things clearly near and far, hence they wouldn't give the free pair of glasses offered on the eyecare plan. Which is quite strange, that if a person having astigmatism and not be able to see/read things clearly specially for computer use, would be denied the eyecare plan product which is sold on the very reason of employee using the glasses at work for things like computer use. A disappointing service and experience.
