Am not sure now why I returned to Boots as I was not convinced last time my eye check was correct and done under difficult circumstances. Anyway I had a text asking for feedback on this episode so here goes. My care is ongoing but in short I chose my specs in July but still not able to wear due to discomfort and headaches after wear a short time. First follow up appointment had checks and adjusting and told all fine to keep wear but come back if problems persist. Last appointment a few days ago I had another sight check and specs now gone to have prescription changed as optician thinks the prescription is cause of headaches. I have worn glasses for 40+ years and never had issue get used to new ones even when changed to varifocals however keep being told it's maybe change in style etc. Obviously time will tell if new prescription sorts problem as I was convinced it was the specs causing feeling of a vice like grip each side of head so don't have much faith in them now but can't afford not to peruse as it's a big expense. Anyway I am many weeks in and have paid out what is a lot of money and still don't have new glasses and time spent back and forward at no time has anyone shown any empathy to this fact. I am writing no to next section about discussing feedback as sensible to wait to see how turns out. Unfortunately I will be stuck with the glasses anyway as can't be sure which of the two prescriptions are correct one and can't get new eye check elsewhere until due again also could not afford new pair elsewhere for a while so likely will continue wear my old pairs as am now.

I needed to change my appointment quite late on and when I phone the Edinburgh Princes Street store they were more than happy to help me , they also phone the Scarborough store (where I had been before) to get my prescription as I broken my glasses and needed a new pair. Fantastic service!

Care was thorough and clear, although the measurements did have to be double checked which obviously took additional time. However, if the results are correct, the extra time will be worthwhile
