I had such a great appointment with Vicky. She spent an hour (yes, an hour!) talking to me about SPS and really listened to some of the other symptoms I experience in the same realm of digestion. She answered questions that I've had for the last few years, and was really reassuring about what SPS is and where current research is. It was really fascinating, and hands down the best medical appointment I've ever had. She provided some reading material, and suggested a couple of books as well as a couple of other things to try in as far as my diet goes. I came away feeling really listened to, and really positive about my treatment etc. Most of all, I appreciated so much that she was able to spend that amount of time with me. The NHS is so wonderful, we are so lucky to have it. for all the moaning that goes on in the news, there are so many amazing dedicated people, and Vicky was brilliant to spend that much time with me, going over current research and helping me really understand what SPS means. I feel she really went above and beyond, and I felt so much better for having seen her, and for having answers that I wasn't sure about for the last several years. I'm even reading currently reading the book she suggested, all in all, i had a really positive experience and I also know that I can contact the staff at the polyposis registry if I ever have questions or concerns about SPS.
