I have never seen this lady and only spoken to her twice when she phoned me waking me up to tell me that I had to have my blood test done for my infusion, this she did twice in one day. She then followed it up with a letter written from my local hospital which is nowhere near where this system states she is , which was totally incorrect in my diagnosis and took no account of the waiting times for blood tests at the local hospital caused by the pandemic which forced me to me to be two days late, also that I work 60 hour weeks on shifts and it was the first time I had been late in three years, this letter threatened to cancel my infleximab infusions if i did not have the blood tests done on time. I explained why I was late in an email to her which to date no reply or acknowledgment has been received. I endeavoured to be on time or ahead for my next infusion which is booked for the 22nd July and the blood test has to be done two weeks before so before 8th July, I booked on the 16th June a blood test for the 25th June ( the earliest I could get). Which I work out as just under four weeks before my infusion . The blood test was carried out with confusion for the phlebotomists who asked me for test paperwork I did not have as the computer system said I was supposed to have more tests then I had the paperwork for. When I got home from a 12 hr shift I found I had received a letter dated 21st June, informing me that this nurse was unable to arrange my infusion as there is no recent blood tests, In bold and underlined writing informing me that blood tests should be done two weeks before my infusion. Attached to it was the paperwork for the blood tests, this letter had taken three days if posted on the day written to get to me. A simple check agains my hospital record would have shown I had a blood test booked, there was no need for the letter telling me to do something I have already done, To add insult to injury the letter stated my diagnosis as Ulcerative Colitis , I have never had this condition . For 43 years I have had Crohn’s Disease. So I should be aware if I had anything else, These letters are not necessary as a simple check on your own computer system would show when a blood test was booked, when it is taking place and if it has taken place or not . If I miss it by all means chase me up, In the meantime these letters have been sent out causing stress which is not helpful to my condition Crohn’s Disease, in fact stress is one of the main causes of flares for me, simple checks which had not been carried out, before sending of a letter with the wrong diagnosis twice has totally destroyed my trust in this nurse, if asked I can only recommend her based on my interaction with her and the feedback I got from her (zero) which is why I have given one stars ,
