Mrs Jackie Hawkins

It has been an honour to have Jackie by my daughters side with her throughout this rough journey. She has been wonderful to be able to share with and has provided excellent care for my daughter through everything. At the colonoscopy she was by her side through the whole procedure making her feel comfortable at the most she could. She is a great doctor to be with and I fully trust her. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor than her.

We have seen Jackie on a few occasions and have always been made to feel comfortable and at ease in her company. Jackie explains things in a way that can be clearly understood and checks for understanding. No question is a silly question! We feel that Jackie is a real credit to the NHS with a wealth of experience Thank you for all your hard-work and looking after us so well

Jackie has provided excellent care throughout the years she has looked after our two children. She is always full of laughter and has a positive outlook no matter what the situation. Even though she now works less hours, we always get a speedy response to any query. It's easy to see that Jackie cares not only about her patients but their parents/carers.

Jackie was Amazing while my son was her patient, he had a blood test to see if he had a genetic gene. Jackie answered every question and worry my son had, once my sons results were on she booked us in early so we didn’t have to worry any longer than needed. Thankfully my son is clear but I have two more children to go for genetic testing and am very hopeful that Jackie will be just as amazing when the time comes. Thank you so much

Jackie has helped care for my daughter who has Juvenile Polyposis for over 9 years now. She has always gone above and beyond always making sure that we’re properly informed and reassured about upcoming procedures. If I’m ever worried about my daughter and feel that I need advice, Jackie promptly follows up my phone call or email and really takes the time to listen and acts upon any concerns really quickly. When my daughter suffered post operative complications a few years ago, Jackie was incredible. She kept my family informed, helped to keep my daughter calm and showed so much care and and compassion to all involved. A true professional with the biggest heart. Thank you Jackie for everything that you do.

Jackie has always done everything in her power to ensure that i am comfortable and anxiety-free during any appointment or procedure. She has a very caring nature and always makes sure she listens to my family and I. If every nurse was like Jackie, the world would be a much better place.

Jackie is just amazing and we can't recommend her highly enough. I have been bringing my daughter for JPS care at St Mark's for many years now - Jackie is always so helpful and caring and giving of her time. Nothing is ever too much trouble and she goes that extra mile to make sure we are comfortable with all the information we have been given and understand everything clearly. She is professional and kind and clearly highly experienced. Thank you Jackie, you make our journey so much easier.

Jackie is so caring, professional and will go the extra mile to ensure a safe, efficient service is delivered. She liaised with adult departments to arrange for my husband and daughter to have procedures performed on the same day to prevent two long journeys to St Marks. Thoroughly explained the sequence of events and as this was a transition to adults for my daughter she has enabled her to feel safe and knowledgeable to manage her onward journey. Can’t thank Jackie enough.A superb nurse.

My 17 year old son is under St Marks for colonoscopies for FAP. Jackie is a lovely lady who is very knowledgeable, caring and looks after not only my sons needs but ours too. Nothing is too much trouble and takes the time to explain everything in detail and you do not feel rushed which helps during a time that is already stressful enough. Jackie along with other members of the team, Dr Hyer and Professor Clark are amazing and we couldn’t ask for a better team to look after ours sons care. Thank you and keep up the great work

Jackie Hawkins is a wonderful nurse. I have been bringing my son to St. Mark's for 11 years now and she has been taking care of us for several of those years. As a mother it is so reassuring to know that Jackie is looking after my son's best interests. She is kind and caring and manages everything for us so that we both feel confident that he is always getting the best care. I cannot recommend Jackie highly enough.
