I came to the out of hours doctor as I had been unable to contact my GP on the phone two days running. Within 20 minutes of my arrival at 9am I was seen by triage, and given an ECG. After an hour I saw the doctor and she referred me for an X-ray then very soon after the doctor spoke with me again I was only 3 and a half hours in all. During our wait we were served with hot chocolate or coffee/tea. A perfect result. Just so sad that the doctors are piling extra work on hospital staff due to it being nearly impossible to get through to them on the phone lines. We can’t all wait 3 weeks for a self booking appointment.
