On my first eye operation I was on time . The nurse mixed up the paper work between myself and another patient.this was only noticed when the nurse called a patients name looking at me . The patients with that name spoke up and said that was her name . She had my name band on her wrist . This was rectified but I felt a little nervous through out the procedure. On my second visit . As instructed by my consultant I was first on the list so arrive at 7.30 am for my procedure. Was then told I had been move to 4th on the list ( without prior notify)resulting in a 2 hour wait This resulted in my driver having to reschedule there other commitments

I had the extreme good fortune to be the first patient treated by Dr Badrakumar (urologist) at this hospital. In the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic, the precautions taken were comprehensive and re-assuring, both for my preliminary consultations and the subsequent operation and post-op treatments and consultaion. The attention to care was excellent from all staff from receptionists and orderlies all the way up to surgeon and anaesthetist. I cannot praise the nursing staff highly enough for their patience, good humour and hard work. It was almost a pleasure to be under their care. Nobody looks forward to going into hospital, but I would have no reservations at all in choosing this hospital and its excellent staff if I needed medical care in the future.

On this occasion I attended Woodlands for a cataract procedure. In the past my wife and myself have had treatment here via the NHS and Woodlands would always be our first choice if offered.

The hospital is very patient friendly and for me it is convenient as i live in Darlington. In view of the year it has been i found the covit safety measures very good and i felt very safe.

The hospital is staffed by kind and caring people, during my 7 visits, including two day ward cataract surgeries, I was always treated pleasantly and respectfully. The hospital is clean and tidy and even during Covid restrictions it is welcoming. I would recommend their care without hesitation.
