I was 28 years old and abused by the staff. I was not given any privacy or given any choice in my treatment. I refused invasive procedures but was abused and forced to pull my pants down after using my legal right to say no. A doctor came to see me and he said in front of myself and my mother "I respect every decision you make" That was a lie. That doctor said he wanted to give me an enema and I said no. He then looked at my mother and she said "you need it. You will have it" I again used my legal right as an adult to say no. My mother then abused me in front of the staff by holding my mouth open and pouring medicine into my mouth and would not let me spit it out. I was again abused by having my pants pulled down forcibly. THE STAFF AND PATIENTS PARENTS ARE NOTHING BUT ABUSIVE. Animals are treated with more dignity and respect that anyone at at Wollongong Hospital. I cannot stress this enough DO NOT GO TO WOLLONGONG HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING ABUSED AND NOT BEING ABLE TO USE ANY OF YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS
