Review of MSK Physiotherapy - Wokingham Hospital
11th March 2023
Nothing to add.
Suggested improvements
There was a mix up over my appointment. Despite being given the appointment in a phonecall to the MSK booking admin, when I turned up for the booked appointment at Wokingham Hospital, the Physio Reception did not have any knowledge of my appointment on their computer based appointment system.
I cannot fault the Physio Reception in any way, they were brilliant, in as much as they asked me to wait and that they would sort the matter out, which they did and I had the appointment, albeit later than booked. The Physio Reception were true to their word.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the person who Was on the end of the phone at the MSK booking admin, they assured me when booking that I would receive a text message confirmation of the booked appointment when I asked for an E-mail confirmation, an E-mail, nor text were received. This gave an uneasy feeling before attending Wokingham Hospital at the booked date and time, this was then subsequently proven to be the case.
The level of service provided by the person I spoke with at the MSK appointment booking admin, was shoddy and well below what is considered to be acceptable. The person concerned failed to feedback confirmation of the appointment as they promised to do by text.
As the first point of contact with patients of MSK, this poor level of service imparts a general feeling of; incompetence, lack of trust in the promises made by the booking team and general expectation of shoddy service, hardly a glowing example of acceptable customer service, not good at all.
I must re-iterate that the Wokingham Hospital Physiotherapy reception were the polar opposite and were excellent in making sure that I got an appointment the day that I was booked to attend.
