Well, the ward was a safe place to recover from recent difficulties. I have put on weight, and my overall health is better.

The staff on the ward could be more responsive to the needs of patients who are often refused help when there should be enough staff to meet their needs…patients are often met with refusals and excuses when they are not actually demanding too much at all. Staff were often not available because they were elsewhere - sometimes having breaks together or going home early, for instance. It seems strange that people supposed to be on this ward work elsewhere when there is demand, but no-one from elsewhere (other wards) seems to come to this ward when there is a shortage of staff to cover timetabled activities or services.
