i was at highfield for just under 5 months.
most of the staff were okay.
i had 2 i really trusted.
didn’t get along with my case team and they all made decisions for me and didn’t hear or take action when i said my views.
the food, housekeeping, teachers and resources were outstanding.
they discharged me to early and if anything i’m worse with min my mental health but it did help with my eating disorder.

I wouldn’t really recommend mental illness but the staff were very kind and helpful even when I didn’t really want to be here they were always calm and polite and I wasn’t

The nurses have been very kind to me especially Guy and Carol I have never felt so treated with respect and everyone has been brilliant my named Nurse Guy has made me feel safe and helped me to. Feellife is worthliving

The ward was ok. Ether than I thought it would be staff are always available and it felt relaxed and safe, food was ok didn’t like the checking at night this woke me up and the night staff wee not always very kind but the day staff were great, good activities with Olivia who was always friendly and nice, Got to know all the nurses quite well and think they do a good job, someone was smoking weed on the ward which I didn’t like but the Matron was straight on it and sorted it out good to see the police on the ward also very frie dly

Our son has been a patient on Vaughan Thomas ward and the care has been outstanding not just for hi. But us his parents too, we have been on other wards in the trust and other areas and none compare to this ward, the staff are excellent DrB wonderful very caring and really listens to our views and thoughts, the family and friends group run by Paul was a godsend as to was the meetings with Matron Gee who helped to put our minds at rest and was very knowledgable about everything we asked, all the team are very thoughtful welcoming and this made it easier for us to leave our son at the end of each visit as we felt he was being cared for and safe. Thank you nurses and doctors on VT

The tv is not working and has not worked in days
The patients are much less settled and not everyone enjoys the same music which is mske life of the Allen ward very difficult
Please send a new one or a tv fixer person
