Please do not use this company, I was recommended treatment in 2013 for dark unsightly veins on my calves, I was in no pain apart from feeling depressed and unhappy with my legs for many years. I was told Clarivein would be the suitable treatment to remove the discoloration on my calves and went ahead with the treatment mid 2014. My follow up care was totally unsatisfactory, I even had to make a complaint to get a further procedure which was meant to be included in my follow up appointment. I paid £150 for each appointment with the veincentre, my follow up appointment was unbelievably no longer than 5 mins, the Clarivein treatment I was told would help clear my legs has not done anything but left me angry and amazed there are companies out there misdiagnosing patients and not being open and honest before making recommendations on treatments. I have never had such a terrible experience with a company. I am left with the scars still on my calves and nearly £3000 out of pocket and a poor excuse from the doctor who misdiagnosed me. I urge anyone thinking of having treatment at the veincentre to look elsewhere to have cosmetic surgery performed.

Response from Veincentre London

Although this review is written anonymously from the description I remember this patient well. I am really sorry that he is disappointed with the results but must stress that this was an unusual case and I can remember stressing that although it would be worth trying Clarivein treatment no guarantee could be given that the discolouration would be improved. We always are honest with patients about the anticipated outcomes but even when informed that there is a fair chance that treatment may fail to give the desired result, if this fails to materialise then some are very upset. I am proud of our record of patient satisfaction which is very high and certainly one disappointed patient is no reason for his assertion to “please do not use this company”. To avoid such poor reviews we could decide to treat only those whom we can anticipate will be perfectly happy. That would be unfair though on patients who have unusual presentations, are well aware that treatment may not work but who wish to take that risk. We have had many who fit this description who have been denied treatment elsewhere but have been offered treatment with us and have been delighted that they have.
