Staff should try harder to understand the illness diagnosed by the doctor

I want the service to improve here on Opal ward People should be encouraged more to be independent Taking my leave away for small things and denying me access to the kitchen has knocked my confidence. There should not be people who are dangerous on the ward. As a suggestion could there be a document on the ward for patients to sign so that they agree not to be verbally or physically abusive

Most of the. Staff here are awsome and make your stay as good as possible and there is usually someone to talk to there is a shortage of staff making it feel a bit uncomfortable I know its unavoidable and needed but I feel it is a real problem. Employee more staff. I love the activity room, it is the only thing that gets me out of bed.

The staff are really nice and supportive and I really enjoy the activities. However, my consultant has given up on me and even said I will probably come back after discharge. This makes me feel hopeless and even more suicidal. So thank you dr goel. Therefore I have asked the amazing advocacy to change consultants and they were very efficient and helpful. Hopefully I will go to a new consultant who isn't as negative.

The activity coordinator is absolutely brilliant and always encourages patients to come into the activity room. I especially enjoy open activity and bracelet making. Staff are usually easy to approach and help you out when you are in distress. I find 1:1s particularly helpful because they reduce my self harm and need for prn.

It was good to have planned activities to focus on. The planning meetings are a nice relaxed way of getting together for a cup of tea and a snack as well as finding out who are named nurse is.
