Given my circumstances in that I had booked flights to Australia prior to being diagnosed, the hospital staff pulled out all the stops to minimise the disruption to my plans. The whole experience was exemplary and I am so impressed and grateful for the care and professionalism of the whole team. The surgeon even came in on her day off to do my second colonoscopy so that I could get to Australia for Xmas and the imminent birth of my second grandchild.
