This was a telephone assessment. The Nurse (Lynell?), asked a series of questions concerning my health and any medication that I was taking. Explanation was provided without a need to ask and empathetic answers were provided to the questions that I raised. Advice was requested on timing for consuming the "cleansing preparation" given that the appointment time was 08:15 and the instructions provided stated that the final portion should be consumed at 06:00, which gave me concerns over the possible impact whilst travelling to the Clinic. This was recognised as a possible problem and guidance on a suitable time - 12hrs earlier given.

Suggested improvements
Not specific to this assessment but the instructions for consuming the "cleansing preparation" should consider the timing of the appointment as IF taking the preparation at 06:00 is not a suitable time for an early morning appointment then alternate timing schedule should be documented. As it turned out, the move to 12 hours earlier MAY NOT have been correct as the procedure revealed that the outcome in turns of bowel clearing was sub-optimal despite all other guidance for taking the preparation being followed.
