I was treated with care and respect by almost all staff and would not hesitate to recommend Spire Hospital to anyone. However, the nurse who was with me when I came out of the anaesthetic after my operation was brusk, short and sharp at a time when I was feeling very vulnerable and in fact she reduced me to tears. She was not gentle and made it clear she simply wanted me out of recovery and back on the ward as soon as possible. It's a shame, as at that time, care and kindness would have made me feel so much more calm and at ease. All other staff I encountered treated me with kindness and made me feel safe and secure.
