The ward I was in had no ordered food as a lot of patients were too ill to eat, but when I did get food it was what was left from going round other wards and no choice just what was left. It was cold and dried up - frankly disgusting. The poor nurses on that ward were run off their feel and it was a choice of finding help to get the patient on a commode and simply letting them loose all dignity and do it in the bed. Not exactly something you'd want to come back to again. I was at least able to carry my own water coming out in a bag and get to a toilet for anything else, but other poor souls weren't .
