Attended MIU at South Tyrone Hospital on Tuesday evening and could not thank the staff enough for their kindness, professionalism and caring to me. The area was spotless, staff excellent and time scaling fantastic.
THANKYOU everyone for your caring and kindness.
I attended the unit on Monday11 June2018 after a fall. I was treated quickly and with great efficiency. The sister in charge was kind, caring and professional . All staff including receptionist and X ray unit were most efficient.
We are fortunate in the Dungannon and South Tyrone area in having this superb unit . To be seen so quickly was a bonus compared with the chaos in CAH and be seen by calm staff rather than the frustrated over burdened staff in the large hospital.
I brought my son to this unit bypassing Craigavon Area Hospital, as previous negative experiences did not encourage me to return there.
What a wonderful unit! The staff were so professional and caring and even my teenage son sang their praises.
The staff display compassion and dignity just the way it should be done.
The receptionist was the first indication that this was a caring place to be. She was thoughtful and patient obtaining the information from my son and treated him as an individual. We had to return for dressings and it was not a dread!
Full marks to the staff in South Turone MIU- you make the difference!
So glad I drove the extra 12 miles.
The South Tyrone Hospital is definitely a necessity in Dungannon. The staff are excellent and the location is good. The only point I would mention is that the minor injuries unit lacks privacy both in the area for reporting ailments and treatment area.
Its a bit of a building site at the minute as the building is undergoing renovations but the staff are coping well and make your visit as easy as possible.
The paediatric nurses are great with my son and make us all feel at home.
