I was on the maternity ward due to unstable lie. Admitted at 37 weeks was originally informed I would have an Ecv and induction at 38 weeks. This came and went and I was then pushed from pillar to post, given different plans by consultants other than my registered one and generally ignored /forgotten about. Eventually they moved me up to labour ward 2 wks, 2 days after admission for induction but it was a Friday and although by the following day I was at the point waters could be ruptured the acting consultant was unwilling due it being weekend so had to wait then until the Monday morning to finally go to theatre, have ecv and rupture and then iv induction. Terrible experience and I suffered badly with anxiety and depression whilst there. Biggest issue was other consultants not following my original plan and lack of communication between them. Also hospital were aware of our concerns and we asked for a meeting with management after discharge. After an initial call from a rep to analyse my situation and concerns I was promised and appointment which has never materialised and all further communications from me have been blatantly ignored. I emerged with a living child thank goodness but have been mentally and emotionally scarred by the whole experience.
