While my daughter was recovering from her surgery, I spent about a week in the sick kids hospital and I cannot speak highly enough of the nurses (who are all rockstars) and all the staff for how kind, supportive, and attentive they were, and overall they felt like family.
The facilities were clean, organized, and I was pleased to see that there was space for parents to stay on the ward if needed.
When my daughter would not take her bottle (she was very particular in how it was prepared), the nurses came to ask if there was something they were doing wrong in making her bottle. I was thrilled that they listened to me and learned to prepare it in a way that she would drink. They truly only wanted the best for my little girl.
The kids' playroom was also well-kept, organized, and much appreciated.
Felt in very safe care in the Dcn dept
The hospital itself is beautiful
Couldn’t ask for more the nursing staff were great was well looked after
The team at sick kids were fantastic from the nursers helping with the hourly care of my son to the team that sorted my accomadation to allow me to stay with him for his hospital stay i cannot recommend then highly enough.
Nothing was too much trouble and they kept me calm and reassured throughout.
During covid pressures the staff do an amazing job. Keeping up to date with information and care plans.
Great service.
Several doctors failed to diagnose my son accurately at sick kids , they put him through a year of pain and hell unnecessarily. After MRI an ultrasound, an endoscopy and many other tests they decided to tell my son he had psychological issues and was imagining his pain In his stomach , he then was sent on a course of physio for months and left to suffer til he got sepsis from a gangrenous appendix and luckily was treated elsewhere! Absolute joke of a place
The staff on ward 7 were terrific (swag).
They are fun to be about, they encourage you with so much patience its unreal.
The nurses who looked after me were great.
I was so lucky to be looked after so well:)
We were on ward 7 at the hospital and found all the staff to be very caring and supportive. As a parent in shock they couldn't have been more understanding and accommodating to us and extended family. From the surgeons/drs/nurses and trainee nurses they all worked together and it made the stressful time much easier. Also the services for parent accommodation and working with the clic villa and arranging places to stay etc all help they provided was appreciated. The ward was very clean and secure and we felt our daughter was in the best place she could have been to receive care.
Our whole experience with the Sick Kid's has been fantastic. During our son's stay at the hospital he received excellent care and we always felt he was in the best hands.
