I can only praise the care I was given by all the staff involved. It made a painfull knee operation as comfortable as it could be and if the other knee needs replacing would have no fears. Thank you so much - NHS allow the staff to keep up their good work.

The environment was very conducive for my short stay, for example, small ward. Staff are obviously stretched at times but did thier very best to keep smiling during my stay.
I'm not sure I always understood the medication I was taking and better explanation would have been helpful, but understand this would take time.
The hospital staff obviously do thier jobs day in and day out and very focused on delivering the service, but it is a very unusual environment for the patient and my anxiety was not always recognised, especially when on mind numbing medication. This is not a complaint, just an observation. Sometimes it would have been nice to know that they understood how I felt during this traumatic time.

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have this hospital on our doorstep. We received excellent treatment from all departments and staff. We truly have nothing negative to say.

I have been attending Derby Royal Hospital for four years as a cancer patient, resulting in various scans and Radio Therapy.
I have nothing but good to say about any department I have visited. I have always been seen on time except in exceptional circumstances, and all the staff I have come into contact with have treated me with the up most respect and dignity.

From entering the building, I was admitted and taken to my room.
The nurses were very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable.
All staff members were fantastic including the anaesthetist and theatre staff.
I couldn’t believe how welcome they made me feel - it was like being with trusted friends.
The room was spotless and very comfortable.

The private wing at Derby was exceptional. Room was large and bright and very clean

I was a patient in the private ward Royal Derby hospital under the care of Mr Awad 27/06/2019, from the housekeeping to catering, nurses, hca, these people are all amazing , really friendly cheerful people, a pleasure to have them look after me and i felt really safe and comfortable pre and post op.
Also special mention to the surgical team/ recovery team that took care of me, i am in awe of you all, you really make it look easy and we all know its not, thank you all so much for your care.
