I had Dr Oswald Lauren Fraser OT and Louisa Fettes council mental health officer. In 2013 after moving into own flat I needed help communicating with people. I am autistic and lack communication skills at best of times but can appear more able than i am. In short I asked eventually for mediation with certain people. This was refused. Had they done this when I asked it would have saved alot of money. Instead they expected me to communicate myself and Im autistic!! They did not get autism or basic communication. A combination of telling me to communicate myself. Louisa Fettes being out her depth there lack of basic autism knowledge (its about communication!), being assaulted in my flat t which was ignored by them and other factors left me in tears using the samaritans all year and still did after leaving the hospital. I was shouted at ignored and my trust in the care I receive from them is now zero at best. YPD is brilliant as that is where the money goes but as an adult I was left to suffer afterwards hanging on to life walking past the crematorium nightly going high up the wall and only got help as the police of all people for the second time put in a request saying i needed help. The first time the police got me reffered to cornhill as above. I told the police I was not understood and I was proven right. the police were brilliant other than my good GP Dr Connon the rest were useless and have now done long term serious damage. my trust in the system is non existent but now getting support i fear going back in future as i value my life too much. nearly ended it.
