The following comments refer to the rother house gps both at rother house and their overseeing the stratford nicol unit hospital.
My mother received appalling service from several of the RH gps including Dr Christina Ramos and Dr Kahn. They focused on discharging my mother rather than treating her. This meant that they frequently denied she had a chest infection and refused to undertake chest xrays. When I insisted on latter, this showed my mother not only had a serious chest infection but that she also had severe breathing problems. Dr Ramos was totally resistant and unpleasant to me, daughter and my mother's carer.
I also witnessed Dr Ramos bullying other elderly patients and tried to elicit decisions from them about their future care without their relatives involvement, to such an extent that she made several very distressed.
I understand that Rother House won a tender to supply gp services to all south warks nursing homes, inc the one where my mother was a resident. Given the poor care that my mother received from rother house in the nicol ward I specifically changed Gp and ordered that no rother house gp have any involvement with my mother's care.
The care and treatment of frail, vulnerable and elderly people requires a professionalism and caring disposition that, from my direct and personal experience, Dr Ramos etc at Rother House are wholly incapable or unwilling to deliver.
