I had a heart scan recently, saw Dr Gill 24/5 who told me the outcome. All very professional and positive. A good experience, appointment exact to time.

visited Urgent care as my grandson fell at trampoline park and twisted his ankle I knew it was very painful and he was not able to weight bare as I booked in we waited for an hour initially and the triage made a decision not to request X ray hours went by and finally we reached the window to register with our Green Card, apparently told no xray required otherwise it would've been requested initially. 7 1/2 hours later saw Orth Doctor who asked why he had not been given an X-ray 9 hours and told we needed an air splint but none available so called around and the nurse found one at KGH we drove over and approached window and asked for the splint it was handed over, I asked how is this fitted and a blank stare from the lady behind the glass followed by a shrug of her shoulders, luckily my 11 year old grandson knew what to do and we were finally on our way home 9 hours with no food and a very small amount of fluid as we didn't know if he might need surgery. Doctor was great and the Nurse in the injury section was as helpful as you can be with herds of patients on a day trip to Queens. Our injury was less than 24 hours but some injuries were a month ago so many unnecessary patients caused huge delays. a more efficient process needs to be in place to access the need for X-ray as that department was empty most of the day with few patients trickling through. in fact one elderly hearing impaired lady with limited sight was waiting almost two hours to be escorted to x-ray from urgent care some 5 meters away and eventually I offered to take her myself as she was very frustrated and bewildered and she was very happy with my offer and a few minutes and she was having her x-ray before discharge, If the triage person had taken a moment to listen to the details of the injury she would have known an x=ray was needed and hours of delay prevented, she appeared fed up and disinterested and that left the public annoyed not reassured.

The hospital is clean and we'll maintained. All the staff I came in contact with were caring and helpful. This wonderful approach appears to be the hospitals culture and long may it continue. Thanks to all concerned.

All the staff during my time at the treatment centre were genuinely lovely and caring. I wish I could say the same about some of the staff in the main hospital who are dismissive and uninterested in patients and their relatives. Ward nurses sit in a back room laughing and joking and then claim they are too busy to answer questions. The gynaecologist I saw on a recent visit left me in tears. I will not be allowing her to carry out the procedure I require. She was rude to me and the staff around her and did not write down information I gave her correctly. Her attitude towards the chaperone in the room made me very uncomfortable. Dreadful experience.

My treatment throughout was excellent and all staff were very caring. I did feel uncomfortable when attending appointments as the wait was typically at least half an hour in an enclosed waiting area with many people not wearing masks. As I was receiving chemotherapy I had taken great care with social distancing and I felt vulnerable during the wait.
