The nurses and doctors were very informative and sympathetic. The care my husband received in his time there was outstanding. I felt he was always treated with respect and dignity even when he could no longer respond. The team were very friendly and compassionate and went out of their way to offer any help possible. Even the cleaners were lovely, happy to talk to me and offer support. A really positive experience at a very emotional time for myself and my husbands family. A special mention to Sharon and Caitlyn (Ashford) who stood out with the care and emotional support they offered. They went above and beyond and are a credit to the hospice. We did have quite a few problems with one of the volunteers who we felt wasn’t the right person to be around vulnerable people. A complaint was put in and I hope they have been spoken to or had extra training. I think the communication between what’s happening with patients and the reception desk could be improved.
