They know nothing about how to deal with severe depression and because of this they then blame you. Lies are told. Endless meetings held discussing you but they never tell you the results of these meetings. I believe that their 'care' did me more harm than any good. You hardly ever get to see the psychiatrist and the one who was over my case, I believe was a complete waste of time, been there too long and doesn't have any care for his patients. I would recommend that you stay away before they ever get to do more harm to you, including patronising and judging you.

Do not go here. The staff don’t get back to you when they say they will. They are bullying and condescending. They CT me off 4 medications that had made me severely Ill. This is contra to all Royal college of Psychiatry guidelines. They didn’t recognise the signs of Akathisia for 4wks. Discharged me saying I was non compliant with treatment yet said I should never have any medications again because I can’t tolerate them when they clearly caused the damage but wasn’t bothered one bit. I hate these people for how I have been treated, furthermore o would love for one of the psychiatrists or nurses to have medication induced Akathisia and then not be believed and left on the meds and threatened if you come off them. I am not on the meds but still have severe symptoms 6mths later. Disaster if a place

The birch unit is an absolute shambles. I asked for an emergency for my daughter and I got one a month later. When I arrived we were waiting for an hour and finally we were told that her counsellor had gone out and they hadn't told him we were waiting for him. I have been ringing for the past week and he hasn't been "available", or has been off sick. I can't wait to fill a complaints form out.

Peasley Cross Hospital (Harry Blackman House) is an extremely friendly place. Many of the staff members are friendly, and the environment is extremely clean, very comfortable and calming.
