I was in a great deal of pain! I’d been diagnosed with COVID two days prior, however in the early hrs of 31/7/22 I was experiencing a really bad throat which caused me enable to swallow even water or my own saliva. The lady who initially took the call understood I was in a lot of discomfort and took her time in dealing with my problem. She then explained I would be getting a phone call later by a clinician. The clinician called back and I explained my situation which must have been evident in the way I was attempting to talk him. He then said he was going to prescribe me some antibiotics and asked where I’d want to collect the medication from. I have been taking the tablets and have made some progress but understand the recovery from bad sore throat takes time. I can now eat a little and can drink. Thank you NHS you were exceptional
