I had inferior turbinoplasty microbrider performed by Edward Noon my ENT. He is the best ENT you could ever wish for. Thankyou for helping me to be able to breathe again your the best.
Also the surgeon team are fantastic thankyou and the care was brilliant in ward C5 thank you very much.
I had a surgery at North Manchester General Hospital in November 2024, it is quite a large site but there is a lot of signage and the staff are extremely helpful if you can't find your way.
Every member of staff I encountered treated me with respect and care. I was extremely frightened as this is the first surgery I have ever had, and the empathy shown to me throughout the process was outstanding.
The staff were kind and friendly, helping to put me at ease throughout my time here. The hospital is extremely well kept, and I was kept well informed about the next step at each stage.
I had to stay overnight on ward C6, and the staff there were brilliant. I was tended to extremely well, the staff treated me with a huge amount of kindness and empathy as I adjusted after my surgery.
I cannot emphasise enough how kind, respectful and empathetic all of the staff I encountered were. I am glad I chose this hospital for my procedure, I would highly recommend it to others.
The nursing team looking after me were all so lovely and kind.
I only have feedback on two things which were minor issues:
- I was incredibly nervous, and although the team did their best to reassure me, despite requests I was only given medication to help with my nerves 10 minutes before going down to surgery.
- I don't remember it well, but on coming back from theatre I had to transfer myself from one bed to the other and this caused a lot of pain.
Other than this I was treated with dignity and respect and felt the staff did the best they could with what was available to them. Everyone was so helpful and kind.
Chloe Wright is an incredibly kind and caring surgeon, and I am very thankful for her. After my surgery, she took care of me with such attention and patience. She was very gentle while changing my dressing and took the time to do everything carefully. She even recommended some great healing creams for me. Her entire team is highly professional, and I truly appreciate everything she has done for me.
The staff on the ward and theatre staff was absolutely brilliant they made me feel so rexlaxed and welcoming polite.
Rude staff , closed the door on my carer and made me angry and upset , didn’t feel welcome , and not a nice area
Attended NMGH 4/7/24 with chest complaint, seen quickly and given test blood, X-ray seen by two doctors very good standard from start to finish four hours and given all clear.
Amazing hospital thanks so much
The receptionists are lovely and helpful when you don't know where you are, the nursing staff was wonderful and very sweet when taking care of me after surgery, big thanks to the staff on the ward.
I came here once for a pre-operative appointment. My partner was here twice, for pre- and post-op. All 3 times, we saw several nurses in the breast outpatient department (Ward F), all of whom were some of the kindest and most professional healthcare workers I have come across.
The main person we dealt with all 3 times was Stacie O'Brien. Stacie is an absolute gem and a credit to the NHS. While I'm glad that everything went well for both my and my partner's surgeries, I am really sad that we won't be seeing Stacie again as she saw us both through our surgeries, beginning to end. She consistently went above and beyond to keep us both informed throughout our processes, even answering all of our queries by email whenever we were uncertain of anything and remembering us between visits which, given the number of people she must see in one day alone, really impressed me.
My partner's surgery happened at this hospital, too. On that day, it seemed as though my partner might have to stay in overnight due to little more than timing and shift switchover, but the staff worked hard to make sure that they were not only discharged in time but absolutely ready to do so.
