There’s a lack of integrity throughout the Trust. I know because when not only did the consultant I saw lie in my notes repeatedly, taunt me by saying everyone ‘wants to get rid of you’, and generally treat me abysmally, but I became public enemy number one when Id finally had enough of being subject to their abusive treatment. Their complaints process is also woeful, and I had the head of complaints telling me on the phone to stop ‘preaching’ to her after she wrongly told me I had to go back to my GP and ask for more funding - completely unheard of. The worst bit, however, was the letter I received from the Chief Nurse of the Trust, out of the blue. It was bullying and intimidating. She repeated attempts by others at the Trust to cast doubt on my eligibility to be treated there, despite always living in the borough throughout my time there. She also exposed my personal information to various members of senior management by copying them in, for which I never gave permission for. She was defensive and apparently too lazy to even get any facts right before sending the letter. She and other members of staff there have from day one sought to alienate me. They try to silence people by threatening them. It was very telling that when the chief nurse, Vanessa Smith, invited herself to talk about my ‘suicidal feelings’ in the letter, she included a link to the general nhs website for info. She didn’t provide any details for the Trust’s support. That’s because they have tried to force me out from the start. They are dishonest, malicious and dangerous. It’s not surprising the consultant felt able to act the way he did considering senior management bully patients on the same way. It’s utterly shameful. They lack any ability to reflect on their actions, seek to demonise patients and bully them into silence, their admin system is dysfunctional, and senior members of management think they can access patient data and spread it as they please.
