Response from Lynfield Mount

Thank you for providing feedback about Maplebeck . I am sorry you have had a disappointing admission to this ward. Your experiences are a long way from what we aim to deliver and I would therefore be really keen to talk to you in order to be able to address your concerns. I would welcome you contacting me by phoning me on 01274 494194. In the meantime I will share this feedback with the staff on the ward and ensure that the concerns you raise are discussed. We are in the process of delivering a training package for staff around customer service and I will ensure the points you raise will be included within that. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention as feedback helps us understand what is and is not working well Same-sex accommodation Being in mixed-sex hospital accommodation can be difficult for some patients for a variety of personal and cultural reasons. Therefore all providers of NHS-funded care are expected to eliminate mixed-sex accommodation. Since April 2011, hospitals have had to provide a monthly report of the number of times they breach the Department of Health’s same-sex accommodation guidance and you can use this information to help you choose a hospital. Find out how your local hospital performs on same-sex accommodation (xls,130kb). Decaff coffee will be provided now. Regards Julia Jones Clinical Manager"
