Review of Wheelchair Service written by
6th May 2018

I was treated well, and Mike fully explained that although he fully understood my wish to get a motorised wheelchair, unfortunately I didn't qualify due to having enough upper body strength to propel myself manually, even though it is impossible for me to get out of my flat manually. I have primary progressive M.S. and cannot walk at all. However I was treated well.

Review of MSK - Clinical Specialist / CATS written by a patient
25th April 2018

I was fortunate to receive a cancellation and treated by Geoff Thinelton, an extremely experienced Physio ( part of the CATS team ) at Leatherhead Hospital. He looked at my previous u/sound and xray and felt my pain was coming from a different location than originally suspected. I had hydrocortisone injection on the same day and have had an excellent result, I am currently completely asymptomatic.

Review of Wheelchair Service written by a patient

The service were very helpful and knowledgeable. I was so happy there were willing to take suggestions from my physio team (and other specialists). The best moment was when I had multiple different cushions delivered so I could have a week to try each one, this was very useful to me and gave me more choice than I belived were available. Unfortunately I had explained that I am autistic and struggle to understand verbal communication and this was not fully understood by the team. this lead to me not being shown any visual options when choosing wheelchair parts. So I chose options which were not what I belived they were (when not given visual choices I just say yes not knowing what I am agreeing too). I have had to spend approximately £1000 on replacement parts and I worry that this would affect other autistic patients (and other patients who are death, hard of hearing or have learning disabilities) and other patients may not be able to work for or save enough money to make their wheelchair meet their needs. having a variety of parts to actually see (breaks and wheelchair sides) would really help.

Very knowledgeable and supportive staff. The process took a whole year from my first appointment to be issues my chair. Some challenges with communication. When making choices about my chair I was not shown pictures which meant I chose different options than I wanted (I am autistic and struggle to process verbal communication).

Mike was extremely helpful and proficient, really great service of the NHS due to Mike. Grounds of clinic outside could be much improved by having a level surface.

It would be great if the parking was better . There seems to be more staff parking than for patients. This might seem unimportant, but if you are already anxious it doesn't help. It's an old building and could do with a bit of sprucing up. The care I received was faultless and I hope it will continue, which I'm sure it will.

The therapist was very up to date on my wife's case & took note of her comments/input. She was very courteous & helpful. There was nothing we could expect that would have improved the appointment.

Review of Continence Service written by a patient
7th March 2018

The care I receive at Leatherhead Continence Clinic is first class. I have been attending there for some time at regular intervals (every 3 to 4 weeks). From the receptionist to the clinical staff my experience is of a hard-working dedicated workforce who go out of their way to help patients.
