Brilliant care and attention.
My wife gave birth at GEH one week ago today. 2.5hrs after birth our baby girl stopped breathing and I raised the alarm & we have been under the care of the staff here ever since.
The level of care we have received has been absolutely incredible. We have both been absolutely blown away and humbled by the truly amazing staff who work here. These are some of the most caring, compassionate and thoroughly professional and skilled human beings I have had the great pleasure to meet (albeit under difficult circumstances).
I’d like to make a special mention to nurse Lisa Gibson who I feel has gone above and beyond her normal call of duty.
From the very start of our difficult journey as new parents she has kept us informed and cared for in a compassionate and caring way that is (in my experience) unparalleled.
Most recently my wife has been inconsolably upset overnight feeling alone when my visiting hours were up and struggling with feeding. Lisa noticed that she was visibly exhausted and struggling and helped care for our daughter to help my wife get some desperately needed sleep. She has helped and supported my wife both physically and mentally in a way we could never have anticipated, even calling Leicester Royal Infirmary to check on our daughters progress when we were there for 2 days on the Neonatal unit.
I hope this fantastic lady gets the recognition in the workplace she unequivocally deserves.
All of the staff on the SCU, maternity ward and labour suite are incredible human beings and wonderful people that makes me truly proud of our NHS.
Thank you all so much, we are and always will be eternally grateful for all that you have done for us.
Thanks for Warwick dietetic service "healthy eating with diabetes" copy.
We had to change our meeting venue 3 times.
Could not have been any better.
Many thanks.
My wife's care is good, but could be better.
The girls who attend to my wife are good at their job. But, leave toilet seats up.
Dripping taps, bowls not cleaned out.
Bed tables away from bed.
All carers need in house training before they are put to work. Shadowing is no good. The management do not see or know their strength. All service users do not have someone to put things right before next visit. Dripping taps cost money with, water meters. Towels will not dry if left in a ball. Not on radiator. The girls will do it if they knowing keeps them keen.
Spot checks that they are told about - trouble.
Thank you
They were very polite and explained everything so we understood what was happening and what to do if things went wrong.
Thank you for your time today. I felt very welcomed and my little boy was very settled, despite usually not coping with new environments. Very professional.
Thank you for the advice.
Thorough, friendly and informative professional.
