84 year old woman…..Was taken in to A & E by ambulance called for by the local doctor after a fall down the stairs, sat for a couple of hours in the ambulance wheelchair in waiting room, went into see triage nurse then sent back to waiting room, waited another 5 hours only to be told the wait time would be another 6 hours, we left the hospital at that point and headed home, called local surgery the next morning and was advised to give 111 a call.. 111 sent us back to A & E in forth valley again, I explained to guy on reception about the wait the day before. After she was seen with the triage again, they made an appointment to go to Stirling hospital later on that night. Stirling staff couldn’t have been more helpful, x ray and advice, and the reach team contacted all in a matter of an hour … Stirling done more in an hour than the “flagship” hospital in Larbert could do in a day and a half
