This must be the most badly run hospital in Scotland. On the 14 occasions in 2 years visiting family members 2 who sadly passed away after being admitted here for non emergency reasons. 5 different wards and the only one which showed any professionalism or compassion was Intensive Care. Nurses , domestics on the other 3 wards were the most unprofessional people I've ever came across. Rude , loud and laughing about patients families and actually gossiping about patients so loudly I was disgusted. On one occasion visiting my father the "staff" actually came into his ward to look at us then whispered and laughed . When you call for an update on family they can't be bothered and sigh as if you were interrupting there usual gossiping. Beds not changed in 2 days when my son who has a longlasting infection and open wound should have his bed changed daily as should every single patient. It's your job staff ie domestics carers or nurses. Not standing gabbing about cruises or nights out etc or slagging off patients that you are paid to look after in a profession you chose to do. I must stress this is my opinion of the wards we have had to visit but talking to other people I'd say 80% of them say the same. Queen Elizabeth hospital Glasgow is the most professionally run hospital I've visited recently and is running like it should be during this pandemic. PATIENTS treated with RESPECT and amazing CARING STAFF but compare that to Forth Valley well its a total disgrace. My son was upbeat regardless of his illness and allowed to visit the large cafe and enjoy a nice meal etc but Forth Valley can't even open that facility and he is now so depressed with the difference in care that it breaks my heart we can't move him back to Queen Elizabeth. Get a grip on your staff Forth Valley and maybe retrain them in CARE. I'll say again not all staff but a high percentage in the wards I won't name shouldn't be in there job. FACT
