The staff and volunteers are all very attentive and respectful to everyone who attends. The coffee morning is always a pleasure to attend and although running late due to staff absences in the physiotherapy department, the single staff member there ran over time in order to fit my physio session in.

I started using Dorothy House services a year ago after being diagnosed with incurable cancer in my 40s. They have helped me live well over this last year with physio, OT, complementary therapies and more recently with better pain management. Every time I have visited the Winsley site I have been met with a warm welcome and put at ease. All the staff have been genuinely interested in my day-to-day welfare as well as the purpose for my visit. The building and grounds make for such a soothing environment too. I've been very grateful for the home visits and telephone support particularly when my health has been extra challenging. Under the care of DH I feel like I have the support I need to live as well and as comfortably as possible.

I was sceptical when I started my counselling but boy was I wrong!! I was challenged and made to think hard about my views, thoughts and answers; but always in a highly respectful manner. I have come a long way in 12 months and will be eternally grateful to Jemima P for helping / taking me through this journey

My only negative was a break in counselling in the early months; but this was more than recovered with the support that followed

Catherine was really helpful giving my wife some exercises to try and talking about the benefits of regular walks both physically and mentally.

My visit from Catherine was a real pleasure, she could not have been kinder or more helpful. We were able to discuss the problems and difficulties I was experiencing in a very positive and productive manner, and I feel confident that her advice and exercise program will significantly improve my walking, balance and overall fitness. I am very grateful for the time and support Catherine gave me.
