I was being treated by a physiotherapist called Jaimie, following the dislocation of my right shoulder caused by a fall in November last year. He explained the problems clearly and said it would take a long time to get back to nearly normal. He gave me gentle exercises at first with rubber strips to offset my arm's weight and saw me every couple of weeks to check the progress. He was very encouraging and discussed the exercises and added weights as they strengthened my arm and muscles. He was genuinely pleased at the improvements each visit and was keen to continue as long as long as it was getting better. We are both now happy with the results and I now have to keep reminding myself not to overstrain the arm as it seems to be back to normal.
