Visited hospital to have blood tests taken for my daughter. We were advised before arriving that phlebotomy opening hours are 8-4.30pm. Arrived around 4pm and told they were closed. Explained that need to have these bloods taken and had left work early to arrive at hospital. After some deliberation, bloods were taken but the nurse was very abrupt, short and rude. Talking to me like she was doing me a favour. My daughter was in a lot of pain whilst blood was being taken but nurse was just not interested. Absolutely appalled by service received and the attitude of nurse and receptionist in phlebotomy dept. Staff should not be taking out their stresses with workload on the patients. My children and I left with what I can describe as the worst experience in a hospital.
