I have had an amazing midwife who has supported me throughout my pregnancy. She has always made me feel normal and has been in contact via text, calls and appointments. My midwife has contacted me after my scans due to my own anxieties which has been very reasurring. I am never made to feel silly with my concerns. I am very grateful. I would advise that with the antenatal classes perhaps including sessions re: safe ways of bathing babies, safe home temperatures and useful books. Perhaps being told if you could atted just one of the antenatal classes as I felt very overwhelmed by the labour class, but i really enjoyed the early days class. The classes were very useful and informative, the issue was with me re: labour. I have used the MAU clinic and the staff were so kind and caring and didn't make me feel like I was wasting their time. I have really appreciated being treated like a person. I would advise women write any questions down to take to appointments if they have any concerns or gaps in knowledge as the midwife's answer any question.
