As mentioned above overall I was looked after very well when I was in day surgery at Ashford Hospital. However I would like to make a complaint about the nurse (Debby Smith) who took all my details before I had a procedure on my back. I did not understand what she said to me and she asked if I was deaf and when I said I hadn't understood her she accused me of saying it because of her colour. This really upset me as I am not at all racist. Everyone else was wonderful from the doctor, his assistants in the treatment room and the nurses in aftercare.
