Can you help with self worth and bereavement
I am amazed at the low review of this centre. I have been an outpatient here for almost 5 years and in addition to this I was an inpatient for almost 8 weeks in 2009. The staff are fantastic. The doctors are absolutely first class. The reputation of this internationally renowned centre depends on them having the very best. Nurses are more of a mixed bag but the majority are in quite a different league to those I have experienced as an inpatient elsewhere. Occupational therapists and admin staff are also extremely good.
If you are unfortunate enough to need help from this specialist unit then be very very grateful that its here that you are going.
I have had a headache for two years which the burden center doesn't seem to understand. The last time I went I was told there is nothing wrong with my brain. Then a week later I went to the Macmillan pain center and they told me there was something wrong with my brain which is why I've been in so much pain. The head of the burden center had attended this meeting at Macmillan. I was at a different department in Frenchay before going on to the burden institute and they had said I had tempo-limbo disorder. I was also diagnosed with personality disorder and now the burden center seems to contradict with what I have been told before. All I want to do is live without a headache but they just don't seem to listen. This is on top of me have dizzy spells, problems with my legs, losing the feeling of the right hand side of my body and they just don't listen.
