Attended quite poorly and was told to wait. There was a woman who was very ill laying on the floor with a bucket. She had been there a long time. She was begging for help. They eventually put her on a bed and left her in the hall. I waited 6 hours without being seen. I had pneumonia, though I didn't know it at the time. After so long and still not speaking with anyone my son in law took me to a different hospital, where I was admitted. I don't know why I wasn't triaged or why the doctors didn't see me. I saw so many people come in, get seen and leave. Whilst I was just left sitting there. It was very traumatic. There was no where to get water

Came in with difficulty breathing and a terrible cough. Breathless just crossing a road. I'm only 39. I had seen my GP who advised me to go straight to A&E. Concerned about a blood clot as I have an auto immune condition. I sat there for hours without even being triaged. They in fact were not triaging people at all. It wasn't even that busy. A man with a cut on his toe was seen before me. After almost three hours waiting and asking the receptionist when I would be seen, I was told they had my file and that was that. I had to travel to another hospital, where I was seen quickly and diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism or blood clot on my lung. I can't tell you how hurt I felt seeing people they deemed more "worthy" of being seen. Triage is so important and they don't do this in Aberystwyth A&E

I was picked up in Aberdovey in the early hours by an ambulance with two ultra professional but very human ladies. When I got to A and E there was a large number of people waiting for me and they went to work straight away asking many many questions while simultaneously giving me seemingly every test known to man. Again apart from their efficiency everybody did their best to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. I was transferred to ICU for one night and once again met really caring efficient people. Finally transferred to the cardiac ward which became my home for the best part of a week. Throughout that time, Doctors Keogh, Raisova and Tyson were outstanding in terms of their efficiency thoroughness and communication. The nursing staff were absolutely lovely, - caring and friendly whilst doing a great job Well done Bronglais

Quite early on the morning of Friday, 19 May 2023 I went to A and E at Bronglais, because of rectal bleeding. I was soon seen by Mr Christopher Lewis, a medical practioner. Mr Lewis dealt with me in a wholly sensitive, professioal and thorough manner, assessing my overall health and quickly identifying the precise problem. He then arranged for me to be seen and treated by a junior surgeon and the female senior general surgeon, both of whom applied quite urgent treatment. I fear I do not know the names of these persons, for which I apologise. The treatment throughout was as good as could be hoped for. Full marks to all concerned. Bravo Bronglais. Long live the NHS. I am much recovered and, in token, have made a small contribution to Hywel Dda Health Charities.

The staff both in A&E and subsequently on Ystwyth ward could not have been more efficient, professional and friendlier. Both my husband ( the patient) and myself were treated with care and understanding. I can’t thank them and praise them enough, they were absolutely excellent.
