Had a very good experience on Easter Sunday. The only improvement would be redecorating - it looks quite scruffy.

All of the staff and clinicians were calm and efficient; and treated me with understanding, kindness and concern. They were also very friendly and personable. A very reassuring place to visit if you're unwell and nervous.

I went to the walk in centre seen by a nurse called jane had a bad sore throat and ear and swollen gland she said she couldnt see anything wronge with me and advised i took a spray for my mouth.she said it could have been a tooth problem and my tonsils were fine.even tho i had my tonsils out 50 years ago. She said if it gets worse come back tommorow. So i went to a and e at st peters afterwards for a 2nd opinion and low and behold they said i had a a bacterial infection deep in back of throat.they said thats why jane probably never saw it .i said she was not looking because she saw my imagery tosils and i left with anti biotics

Useless!! I was told that a nurse could speak to me but not treat me as centre closed in 45 mins and there wouldn’t be time as there was a wait. I had chest pain and had also tried during the day to get GP appointment but no success.

Response from Ashford Walk-in-centre

We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the care you received at Woking Walk-in Centre. Unfortunately when the Centre reaches the maximum number of patients who can be seen and treated within it’s opening hours, it is necessary for us to operate a re-direction policy. All patients are spoken to by a clinician who will ensure that they are re-directed to the most appropriate service available to them. This policy is communicated at reception and we are sorry if the process was not fully explained to you. If you would like to speak to someone about this service please contact Val Thomas, Service Manager on 07802 688116.
