My dad of 89 years old had an appointment today to see his oncology doctor, Dr Grant and was very happy with the detail and advice given. When we went to confirm his ultrasound was okay for tomorrow the receptionist was extremely helpful and went above her duty to see if me dad could be scanned that day. Sorry I didn't get her name but I did get the name of the second member of staff at the dept, Shirley Ewing. Shirley again went above and beyond for my dad and because of her experience and caring nature, My dad also had his CT scan as well. Both these women came back to see that we were being seen to. Today 07/01/2020, I want the people of Aberdeen and surrounding areas know that the staff in our hospitals and health centres are doing a fantastic job and many like these two women are going above and beyond their duties to help and support us when we are most in need. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts.

My mum was recently in 105 can’t fault the medical or nursing staff. However from the time mum was told she was being discharged to the time her medication was ready was over 3 and a half hours We waited and waited then was discharged with paracetamol when I explained that mum had taken all her medication in with her when she was admitted and didn’t receive it back. Mum had been admitted to 101 then transferred to 105 and her medication had gone missing. By this time it was 4,30 on a Friday and would not be able to get replacement medication from her GP. I was asked to go back after7 pm to collect replacement medication. I appreciate that everyone is busy and my mum is not the only patient on the ward that needs medication dispensed but there must be a better system.

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and needed surgery and further treatment. From the minute that I was recalled to the breast clinic after mammogram screening and it needed further investigation it has been very reassuring and impressive how caring, supportive and available the whole team is. After diagnosis I was scheduled for a lumpectomy 6 weeks later. I was admitted to the ward the day before for pre-op tests and to meet my surgeon. The ward was amazing, it is a scary time, but everyone working on the ward are so cheerful and compassionate that they actually make it a pleasant place to be in spite of the circumstances. In the morning before the actual operation there were a couple of different procedures that needed done and it was amazing how it all went like clock work although it involved being wheeled to a couple of different wards for different things to be done. I can not praise everyone involved in the whole hospital stay and care enough for what they have done and for their great and compassionate care, it made a very scary time less scary and comfortable and it is much appreciate and they are an amazing team!

I went in for an Angiogram on the 16th January. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I was given by the nursing staff in ward 401 and the treatment from Dr Ryan and her team. They were very professional in the way they handled myself and other patients. I was made to feel at ease the moment I arrived. Every move was explained and made sure I understood it. One of my friends was in the next bed and he felt exactly the same. Well done the team in ward 401.

I'm staggered that anyone complains about the NHS. I've had an enormous amount of treatment here over three decades which has been nearly faultless.

On numerous occasions I have attended ARI as an out patient for on going tests. At each department I have been to, I have received professional respectful care. I have been given clear instructions to follow and seen friendly staff. The hospital has been clean, tidy and clearly signposted for each department

Thank you so much to all on ward 205 for looking after my brother who had a number of injuries including a broken neck. Everyone was fantastic and what a great 2 consultants that repaired his neck. They did an amaxing job. The care by all staff was great towards my brother and family that came to sit with him to help him get through a very traumatic time. We all as a family can't thank you enough.
