I am a fellow health care professional and have to run patient clinics myself at my place of work. It is totally unhelpful when you are only able to make a telephone appointment for 2 weeks time with your GP and when that time eventually comes round, the doctor rings twice within 7 minutes and then you have 'failed to attend your appointment' when you miss the call. I myself am busy with patients - please have to courtesy, if you are not going to give me a specific time to expect your call - ample time to finish what I am doing before asking a colleague to cover for me while I await another call from you. So now I have had to book yet another telephone appointment in a further weeks time. So 3.5 weeks to wait for an appointment about a suspicious skin lesion. Lets hope its not malignant eh?
