I completed the e consultant on Tuesday night. On Wednesday afternoon I received a text to follow a link. In the link i had to upload the picture again and put some details. After i submit it I receive a text to ring for a routine appointment. I ring the receptionist and i am told the GP will review the picture and ring me the following day ( 48 hrs after submitting the e consultant form). Then at 16.54 I receive a text to ATTEND the practice at 09.20. When i saw the text the practice was closed. I had to arrange cover at work to attend for the appointment. To my surprise when i went to the gp practice and said i had an appointment a lady next to the receptionist stood out saying; we don’t do any fave to face consultation. I showed her the text and het reply was this is the text the patients receive and so far they had no problems. As an NHS professional myself i always treat my pts with respect. I hope your practice/ this lady learns to do the same.
