The receptionists need to be more discreet when confirming/ relaying patients details over the phone as everyone in the surgery waiting room knew where Mr Smith lived, his address his phone number and his condition. I have always found the doctors/ midwife / nurse very helpful and informative. Once I have managed to get an appointment. Having to call in at 8pm when you've been up all night poorly is not ideal I can understand why people would rather use nhs111 or a&e
