This practice mainly caters to the student population, but local residents are welcome too. Patients are given many options when it comes to making appointments - by phone, online, or in person. There are also some walk-in appointments available to see the nurse. The website is comprehensive and functions well. Receptionists are patient and friendly and the waiting area is sufficient - nothing special but there is a loo and a TV screen that plays a loop of health-related news and ad campaigns. Patients are called over an intercom which is a little fuzzy and takes you by surprise the first few times, and the crackliness of the speaker can make you paranoid that each name called might have been yours. I have seen 3 different doctors and a nurse at the practice. The nurse was very kind and friendly, and one of the doctors, Dr Merali, is fantastic. I didn't really get on with the 2 other doctos I have seen there, but they were both perfectly competent and knowledgeable as practitioners. The only problem I've had at this practice was when I ordered a repeat prescription script and it took a while to come back - after 4 days and 2 phonecalls I eventually went in and sat whilst it was hurriedly signed for me. But I can only assume that was a one-off, as generally this practice is very well-run. I would highly recommend it, especially to students.
